How much does a bachelor’s degree cost?

The cost of living is rising and so is the price of a high quality education. In the US the cost of a bachelor’s degree has risen and continues to rise. Similar trend can be observed worldwide.

The National Center for Education Statistics reports that the cost of tuition, fees and board at public colleges and universities rose a massive 28% between 2009 and 2019. At private non profit schools, the cost of college rose by a hefty 19%, with adjustments for inflation.

Once you factor in rent, books, food and other costs, most students can expect to pay at least $30,000 per year for their bachelor’s degree.

What are the advantages of a bachelor’s degree?

A survey from the National Center for Education Statistics found that graduates aged between 25 and 34 who have a bachelor’s degree earn 50% more per annum than others of the same age who have a high school diploma but no degree.

Who can apply for a scholarship?

If you’re a gifted student and think you have what it takes to gain a scholarship then it’s worth a closer look. Various scholarships have differing requirements. For example, the Belgium government requires that you speak a decent level of French to apply as it’s a French speaking country.

If you’re anxious that you don’t meet the requirements, we’ve done the research for you and found five bachelor scholarships from across the globe that might suit you.
