Getting registered for the IELTS is a pretty simple process. To start the IELTS registration process, you will need access to a computer and the internet. You can take the exam in over 140 countries at around 1600 testing centers.

In order to take the IELTS, you must first register on the exam’s official website and then locate a testing center that is convenient for you. A confirmation mail containing the exam date and time should be sent when you have finished registering.

You need to log in to the official website of IELTS and select the option ‘Register for IELTS.’ Next, you need to select the date and the location you want to give your test. Fill up the form and complete the online application process. You can pay the application fees via your credit card. 

After completing the registration process, you can see a confirmation page on your computer or laptop screen. They will also send this information in hard copy to your email address. 

You must courier a photocopy of the first and last page and any observation page to the head office. You will not be able to sit for the exam without submitting the photocopy.

If there is an IDP office or branch location near you, you can use a computer there to sign up. The examination fees are immediately due and can be paid online. The email confirmation will be sent to you shortly.

It is OK to submit a passport photocopy along with your completed Observation Page at that location. Don’t forget to read the terms and conditions carefully before signing and returning them to us. Your exam time and location details will be confirmed promptly through email.

There is another method you can follow to register yourself for the exam. You can fill up the application form that is available in the office. There will be a terms and conditions page along with the application form. Sign that after reading carefully. Attach a photocopy of your passport and observation copy. 

You can pay the exam fees using a credit card, a demand draft, or by depositing cash using an ICICI customized deposit slip in an ICICI account. You need to hand over the original copy of the deposit slip to the IDP branch office.
